Top 10 Epic Lake Tahoe Cabin Rentals

I’m fascinated with Lake Tahoe. It’s a destination with epic beauty. One that’s unrivaled and unmatched the world over. And, not so long ago, I visited this earthly haven. Since then, there’s been this deep sensation of nostalgia that’s just be gnawing at me to go back. However, it’s not just a place of epic beauty that’s alluring. There are also some stunning cabins for rent in Lake Tahoe that will literally take your breath away.

I should know. I toured most of them. In fact, I spanned much of the 72-mile circumference just visiting Lake Tahoe cabins from the north side to the south side of the lake looking for the perfect property. And what I saw and witnessed was nothing short of spectacular. Now, if you’re looking for an inspiring place for your next visit, then Tahoe should definitely be a main contender. It’s ideal whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or for a trip that encompasses the entire family.

What I found was nothing short of truly epic. There are some stunning properties in Lake Tahoe. And if you plan to visit this destination in the near future, then take notice because the following information could be likened to gold. Why? Because, what I’ve found in Tahoe is that this destination is filled with companies vying for the attention of the traveler, but there are only a few that are worth their weight in gold.

One such company, which I’ve chronicled in the past, was InvitedHome. Not only do they have a stunning portfolio, but their service is unmatched. I’d liken it to the type of service you’d receive at a 5-star hotel. In fact, there’s no other companies out there doing anything remotely similar to what these guys are doing. That might be why they hit the Inc 500’s list at #39 as fastest growing companies along with the #1 spot in hospitality for Colorado. Those are some pretty serious accolades.

Finding the Perfect Cabin in Lake Tahoe

We talk about cabins in Lake Tahoe, but, really, at the end of the day they’re mostly just homes. Some do have that iconic log-cabin architecture like Houston Camp, which is a rustic set of small cabins located within earshot of the lake. But most don’t. However, the term cabin just seems far more aptly suitable for Lake Tahoe. It’s a place where rustic outdoor adventures meets resplendent indoor luxury.

Of course, if you’re heading to Lake Tahoe in search of the perfect rental, you need to decide on the north or the south. Where should you stay? Clearly, there are distinctions between North Lake Tahoe and South Lake Tahoe. While both offer up epic beauty, the south is far more suitable for summertime fun whereas the north is far more ideal for winter getaways and more refined, upscale cabins.

In North Lake Tahoe, you’ll have far more access to skiing. That’s not to say that South Lake Tahoe doesn’t boast some adventurous resorts. It does. For example, you’ll find Heavenly resort and it’s famed Heavenly Gondola in South Lake Tahoe. But for the most part, the north is for skiing. It’s also far more secluded and upscale than the south. Not to say that there’s anything wrong with the south. But if you’re into sheer elegance and luxury living, then North Lake Tahoe is for you.

South Lake Tahoe is ideal for the summers. Here, you’ll discover golden-sanded beaches and epic outdoor activities. Some of the best hiking, fishing and all-around outdoor sightseeing amidst sprawling Alpine forests can be found here. However, either way, whether you choose the north or the south, Lake Tahoe is one of the most sought-after destinations for a reason. Every square mile is unforgettable.
